If you have a tattoo parlor near by, then you should definitely head down there and see what’s on display on the walls.  If you are planning to use the artist working there to get your tattoo, then you will also want to talk with him or her and discuss some options.

There are also a large selection of print books that you can go through to look at various tattoo designs.  Again, you will use these to form a basis for a unique tattoo that your artist draws up for you.  There are also a number of places online that will show you pictures of other peoples’ tattoos.  This can also be another good reference source.  You can see some of these at the Tattoo Pro website.
